Our kind of summer date night - Jamul, Ca.

From Yucca Valley, Ca. we headed south towards Jamul, a small town located 30 minutes east of San Diego. There nestled a top the boulder covered hills of Whiteside Mountain is Crow's Nest, a private campground with some pretty spectacular views.

Summer calls for beach sand, sun tans, & palm trees. At least that's what we'd hope for until spontaneously deciding to head inland in the opposite direction into the cactus sprinkled deserts of Southern California.
